Cardinal Quilt Block, 2 sessions, $150
A cardinal is a steadfast favorite bird, often symbolizing a loved one, or an encourager. This bird has a year-round presence in the US and holds emblematic status across cultures. We will translate a block quilt-style cardinal into a fused glass piece using stenciling and precision cutting.
Tuesdays, November 10-17 6-8pm
Registration Policy Details:
By making your class deposit, we reserve your space and supplies. For cancellations at least 7 days prior to class, you will receive a store credit for your deposit/payment. Cancellations within 7 days or “no shows” forfeit deposit. There are no exceptions to this policy. Thank you for understanding that as a small business, we cannot absorb the cost of last minute cancellations.
We do not offer make-up sessions for missed classes.
Everyone present during a class must be enrolled in the class. We are excited to see you, but are finalizing set up prior to class, therefore doors open 10 minutes prior to class.
In the rare event that AGA cancels a class, you will receive a full refund.
Cool Reactions, 2 session, $175
Last class schedule, we covered "hot reactions" with reds, orange, yellow as a base glass. This class will cover chemical reactions with cool colors as a base (blues and greens). Working with this selective palette, students will create smaller reactive segments that will be incorporated into one finished 10" piece.
Wednesdays, Oct 7-14 6:30-8:30pm

Beyond Beginner Classes:
these classes require taking "Fusing Fundamentals" first:
Vitrigraph, 1 session, $75
Limited to 4 participants. Learn to pull and shape threads of glass from the vitrigraph kiln. These accents are a great addition to your fused work. Students will split the stringer pulled from the two kilns. Just in time for the holidays, we will pull either BLUE and GREEN or RED and GREEN (place your vote when registering). Please note, you must be comfortable holding your hands/arms at face level and above for 10-15minutes at a time (this is harder than it sounds!).
Wednesday, November 4 6-7:30pm
Guided Open Studio:This form of open studio is for the artist that needs a little reassurance in their work. Perhaps you recently completed Fusing Fundamentals and you forgot how many layers are needed for full fuse temps, or how to measure a mold to size your glass correctly. While techniques are not taught in open studio, AGA can review/look over the projects being made and offer suggestions or general guidance. Two firings (up to 1 sq foot) is included in each Guided Open Studio. Select days and times, reservation required. Fee is per 2 hour block. Reserve multiple 2 hour block and increase the included firings!

Table Time is for the artist who is lacking a kiln or wants to work in a space designed for makers. Assistance is not given in any form...the artist must know temperatures and processes for their anticipated results from start to finish. In order to allow the artist to learn and grow, AGA will not review/look over projects, or offer reminders/refreshers of how things were done in a past class, etc (feel free to register for Guided Open Studio for assistance with a special project).
